Privacy Policy

This policy describes what data Cinder Works (operated by Blaze Malan) collects, how it is used, and your choices. It applies to the cinder.works website, the Cinder application registered on the TikTok for Developers platform, and any direct interaction with Cinder Works.
1. What we collect
- Order information: name, shipping address, and items purchased. Collected by Etsy or TikTok Shop when you place an order and shared with us only to fulfill that order.
- Contact messages: email address and message content if you write to us directly.
- Site analytics: cinder.works does not run third-party ad tracking. Our hosting provider (GitHub Pages) may log standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, referrer) for security and reliability. We do not set marketing cookies.
- TikTok data (Cinder app): the app reads only data belonging to authorized TikTok accounts operated by the owner (public profile info, public video list, aggregate account stats). It does not read, store, or process any data belonging to other TikTok users.
2. How we use it
- To process and ship orders.
- To respond to customer messages.
- To operate the owner’s own TikTok account analytics and content posting workflow.
- To comply with legal and tax obligations.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not share customer data with advertisers.
- We do not use TikTok data for advertising, sentiment analysis on third parties, or training external ML models.
- We do not combine TikTok data with data from any other source.
4. Data retention and deletion
Order records are retained for the duration required by Etsy/TikTok Shop and applicable tax law. TikTok data accessed via the Cinder app is processed transiently and is not persisted to long-term storage beyond operational logs, which are pruned regularly.
To request deletion of any data we hold about you, email hello@cinder.works. We will respond within 30 days.
5. Security
All API credentials used by Cinder are stored on owner-controlled hardware. We use HTTPS across cinder.works and authorize TikTok API access strictly through the official OAuth flow.
